Unlock Method[]

Arcahv is unlocked via World Mode Map 5-6. After finishing the map, story entry VS-8 will play automatically, followed by Arcahv itself. The difficulty of the first play is determined by the difficulty of the last song played on the World Mode map.

  • Arcahv [PRS] begins if the last song was played on PST.
  • Arcahv [FTR] begins if the last song was played on PRS/FTR/BYD.

When playing Arcahv for the first time, the gameplay is somewhat different to normal, akin to an anomaly:

  • The background shows red streaks that appear in time with the music
  • The debris in the background will appear to subtly shake at certain points
  • At the end of the song, the screen cuts to black in a way similar to old CRT televisions turning off, and remains like this for a few seconds before returning to the Black Fate Story select screen.
    • This skips the clear splash and results screen, but the play results will still be saved. However, they won't be uploaded to the leaderboard.
  • Track Lost is disabled, even upon reaching 0 recollection rate with the HARD gauge. The minimum possible grade will always be an Easy Clear.
    • For this play, maximum recollection rate will be set to -1 upon reaching -1 recollection rate with the HARD gauge.

Once Testify has been unlocked, Arcahv's effect can be triggered again in Music Play by selecting either Hikari (Fatalis) or Hikari (Fracture) as the active partner if they are at level 10 or higher. Plays with the effect active will have their scores saved, but not submitted to the leaderboard.

English Translation

Let the Imperial Wrath
Submerge into the light
And fill these null strings

The rite to silence the voice
Butterflies rising from behind in swarms
Hold fast to your origins
Reject the myriad embroidered lines of the manifold sea

Assemble.

Trivia[]

  • Arcahv marks Arcaea's first Terminal song, distinguishing it from Anomaly songs. It is completely hidden until unlocked, and does not even show up as a nameless entry in the song select menu.
  • The small text on the jacket art reads: "Her opinion on the disaster destroying all is delivered in a single word."
  • Hikari (Fracture) is featured in the jacket art.
  • Arcahv is part of Feryquitous' "v" series[1][2]. Other songs include Dstorv (G2R2014), Strahv (BOFU2015), Ordirehv (Freedom EP), and Visterhv (beatmania IIDX 26 Rootage).
    • The song title directly references Arcaea, with Feryquitous saying she was able to express her interpretation of Arcaea's story/setting, and convey the scene of a new beginning[3].
    • She also mentions that the song was written around the themes of "transformation" and "convergence"[4].
  • The chart designer credit ∅ is the mathematical symbol for the null set or empty set.
  • Arcahv is playable in WACCA Reverse and CHUNITHM as part of their collaborations with Arcaea.
  • Arcahv is the only paid song that is packaged into the game's base files, as opposed to being downloaded like other paid songs.
    • This is likely due to it being possible to satisfy the requirements to unlock Arcahv without having the Black Fate song pack downloaded.
    • As a consequence, Arcahv is the only paid song whose song preview does not loop.
  • Arcahv is the first song that is completely hidden in World Mode until something is triggered (as of Mobile: v3.12.0 Switch: v2.0.1).
  • Arcahv had different unlock requirements prior to Mobile: v3.12.0 Switch: v2.0.1. These requirements were as follows:
    • Pre-requisites:
    • To trigger Arcahv for the first time, PRAGMATISM, Fracture Ray, and Ringed Genesis had to be cleared in that order and on the same difficulty, without failing or restarting. Doing so for the first time would trigger story entry VS-???. After this, Arcahv would automatically begin playing on PRS if the 3 songs were played on PST, or FTR if the 3 songs were played on PRS/FTR.
    • Due to these requirements, Arcahv held the record of having to spend the most amount of memories for a song in the game prior to mobile v3.12.0.
      • Unlocking Eternal Core, Luminous Sky, and Adverse Prelude (for PRAGMATISM, Fracture Ray, Hikari (Fracture), and Ringed Genesis) cost a total of 1900 memories.
  • There was a bug that allowed players to trigger story entry VS-??? by obtaining a song in World Mode. After players finished playing the chart, the song's World Mode map was revealed.
    • This was fixed in mobile v3.12.1.
