Character

Name

Shirabe's name, 調, means "melody" in Japanese. The official reading is しらべ.

Appearance

Shirabe has pale skin and red eyes. Her hair is silver, and even pulled up into twintails it reaches down to her waist. Her clothing is doll-like and mainly black. She wears a long-sleeved gray shirt with red trim and ruffled sleeves under a dark gray vest. Her headband and shirt collar have roses on them. On top of her shirt she wears a long black cape with a red collar and lining. Her top skirt has a red checkered pattern and balloons outwards. Underneath she wears two underskirts, one black and one white. Her tights are dark gray with a diamond pattern along the sides. She holds an electric guitar with an axe/scythe design.

Her stats are similarly skewed towards FRAG, and comparatively she is slightly better than Eto (+2 FRAG and +1 STEP)

• Her maximum FRAG stat translate to 1.64x fragment multiplier.
• Her maximum STEP stat translate to 1.46x step multiplier for world mode.
• Her maximum OVER stat translate to 1.04x progression multiplier in Beyond Chapter

Due to the high amount of high level, high chart constant conflict songs in the game, Shirabe is surprisingly an effective partner for fragments farming. Like Eto, the bonus +5 fragments are added before the multiplier, and on average, will generally give more fragments than 90-95 FRAG partners. She is especially effective when a chart is cleared with a Full Recall or Pure Memory.

While the STEP stat is below average, as discussed in Hikari (Zero) the low STEP stat can be used for nailing the landing on a Stamina tile. Do keep in mind that the fragments bonus is only applicable in normal play.

Her awakened skill takes the respective amount of fragments (the difficulty level of the chart you're about to play) as you select the song (9+ and 10+ are treated as 9 and 10 respectively), meaning that closing out of the song after starting will result in permanently losing those fragments. Getting an EX grade or above will add 10 fragments to your total regardless of chart level. When playing in World Mode, the fragments are not decucted.

Trivia

• The song she was released with contains the word "carmine," which is a type of red. This matches her color scheme.
• Scarlet Cage's Story has the least number of entries out of all story paths, having only 3.
