Lagrange is a Partner in Arcaea. She is obtainable through progressing in World Mode in Chapter 6 in Forgotten Construct, which can be unlocked by buying the pack "Esoteric Order."

Character

Appearance

She has lavender hair tied in a knot-styled fashion, decorated with a black "veil" with star and crescent moon decorations. She has prominent strands of hair on both sides. She also wears indigo bows to attach her strands of hair. She wears a small decoration on her hair that has colors of white and purple. She wears a monocle with decorations of gold. She has purple eyes as well.

She wears a yellow dress and a white jacket connected by belts, with a decoration of white and purple, similar to her hairclip. Her jacket has colors of purple, even more belts and some decorations, such as ribbons. She also wears a white loose collar on her neck.

She has a companion called Charon. Charon has eyes with purple diamonds as it's pupils. It has some line decorations under it's eyes from pink to purple. It also wears some kind of robotic accessories with colors of white and gold. Like her hair decoration and the decoration on her belt, Charon wears an accessory that looks similar to it.

She also wears lavender leggings and pointy rubber shoes without ties. She also holds a book, which hangs some kind of planetary decoration on its end.

Personality

Not much is known about her personality, but she has a purpose; to find a god. She seems to be calm and curious, looking for answers.

Trivia

  • She is the only partner in the game that is required to unlock their signature song, Aegleseeker.
    • She is also the first partner to have their skill unlocked by playing a song.
  • She and Kanae are the only partners created as per an Arcaea Song Contest grand prize.
  • She is the second Side Story Partner to be themed around the colour purple.
  • Lagrange is the second partner to have their skill base around 'Grade', the first partner to do this is "DORO*C"
    • She is also the second partner to change the play screen, the first being "Awakened Lethe"
      • Unlike Lethe (who simply covers the score counter, FR/PM indicator, and combo counter). Lagrange's skill only affects the score counter (instead of the usual score counter, it displays the score distance to the next grade.)
  • Lagrange could be named after Italian mathematician and astronomer Joseph-Louis Lagrange.
    • Charon could be named after the psychopomp of the same name, or the moon of Pluto of the same name. The astronomical theme of Esoteric Order further supports this theory.
    • 'Joseph-Louis Lagrange can be seen written on the left shoulder of her attire.
      • The name 'Charon' is also written on Charon, located next to its right eye.
  • She is the third Side Story partner to have their own Story upon the release of their respective pack.
  • She boasts the highest starting OVER stat out of every partner in the game, at 80.
    • Her OVER stat remains invariant, however, and is one of the only two Partners to have this characteristic.
      • The first to have this characteristic is DORO*C.
  • Her skill is the only skill in the game that is unlocked only after playing a song.
    • Her skill is also the only skill in the game that changes the "Score" panel into something else, where:
      1. only 6 digits are shown ("Pace"), and a plus(+) or minus(-) symbol accompanies the digits on their left.
        • When the projected score is below the closest grade (except EX+), a minus sign is shown.
          • e.g. "-045'210 A" means that the projected score is 9200000 - 45210 = 9154790.
          • Below C, the hundred-thousands digit will be used.
            • If -999'999 is reached, the Pace will no longer continue to decrease, and remains at C - 999'999. This may create confusion where, sometimes, continuously obtaining PUREs does not increase Pace when C - 999'999 Pace is reached.
              • However, this is simply because the projected score has a value smaller than 8,600,000 - 999,999 = 7,600,001, and thus the increase is not reflected in the displayed digits of Pace.
        • When the projected score is above the closest grade, a plus sign is shown.
          • e.g.2 "+001'568 PM" means that the projected score is 10000000 + 1568 = 10001568.
        • As a consequence of the above, unless if the projected Grade is C, EX or EX+, the largest absolute value of the displayed numerical Pace is 500'000.
          • The skill is not affected by rounding errors (like in DORO*C's skill), but the displayed Grade and +/- sign exactly halfway between two grades, above D and below EX+, may be dependent on how the Grade/sign switch threshold is reached, or depends on the value of the projected Score without rounding.
            • e.g. If the projected score increases from 8'945'000 to 9'099'999, at exactly halfway between Grades A and B, a "B +500'000" Pace may be shown for a brief moment; if the projected score decreases from 9'738'439 to 9'320'105, at exactly halfway between Grades AA and A, an "AA -500'000" Pace may be shown for a brief moment.
            • e.g.2 Say there are 999 notes in a chart, and the projected score is "exactly halfway between Grades EX and AA". In reality, the score values for each judgement in the chart are non-integers, and such the actual, pre-rounding score has decimal places that show it's closer to EX than AA. This may cause the Pace for the projected score to be "EX -500'000" instead of "AA +500'000".
              • The second proposition is more likely as obtaining the same score as the previous "Hi-score" in any chart will yield either "+00'000'000" or "-00'000'000" on the results screen, suggesting possible score rounding.
      2. the closest Grade to the projected score is shown on the right of Pace.
        • This includes a Pure Memory, abbreviated as "PM".
        • Note that the lowest grade shown is C, as all scores below grade C automatically fall in grade D.
      3. the Pace may display a tinted blue if the Pure Memory obtained is the maximum theoretical score of a chart, just like the normal Score.
      4. unlike in Score, to increase the Pace, one must either:
        • obtain a Pure Memory, at which the digits of Pace will display the amount of Max PUREs obtained, or
        • continuously obtain a PURE judgement on notes, as LOSTs and FARs both decrease the Pace.
      5. the magnitude at which a single LOST/FAR decreases the projected score depends on when the judgement is scored, and how many notes there are in a chart.
        • A FAR judgement at the very beginning of a chart may drop the projected score all the way down below EX+ thresholds on charts that have a low note count, e.g. dropdead PST.
        • Note that her skill functions differently from DORO*C's skill, where a single non-PURE judgement only decreases the Recollection Rate by the same amount in the same chart during the entire song.
